The BFD (Big F*cking Deal) 2012 Alt/Rock festival is coming to Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View on June 2nd, featuring Jane's Addiction as the headline act, among 40 bands on 4 stages.
If anyone else is planning to go, let's get together at the show (I have reserved seats already). Email me if you want to make plans: webmaster (AT) asiandivagirls.com  BFD has been going on for 18 years (I went to the first one in 1994 with Green Day, Beck, and the Pretenders). Here are the acts scheduled for this year's BFD:  Old school... I really enjoy festival shows for exposing new or different artists:
New album reminds me of something slightly Smashing Pumpkins-esque. Silversun Pick-ups are playing a free show at Amoeba records in San Francisco next Wednesday. Features Tom Delonge from Blink 182. ADG |

Awesome BFD show yesterday! Chillin' and doing the BBQ tonight...
Highlights...got to meet and get pix with the Silversun Pick-ups (I know one of the DJs from Live 105 who hooked me up)...Garbage was excellent - only wish their set was longer (Shirley Manson was slinky and hot)...Silversun Pickups was the biggest surprise - strong show, good female bassist...and Jane's Addiction did one of the tightest performances I have seen. Both Dave Navarro and Perry Ferrell were in great form, and they did some good extended jams on a few songs, including a raunchy BDSM version of "Nothing's Shocking" - their new material was really good too!     Excellent way to start the summer... ADG |
