Yup the story was just OK but the look and feel was perfection...the color palette perfectly matched the mood of the film...stunning.
Some Other films that used specific color palettes perfectly. Eyes Wide Shut, Imprint, Bram Stokers Dracula

I haven't seen it but I guess I will watch it this week. The trailer does absolutely nothing for me so I've had no interest in it at all, but I heard its a film-lovers movie, so now I guess I'll have a look.

I loved Hugo. The two best films this year for me were that and "The Artist".

Really liked Hugo as well. Saw it in 3D at the theater and it really was a visual fest for the eyes. Incredible detail, etc. The opening sequence was really neat -- zooming in from a very long distance ending up in the train station in one (computer aided) shot.

We saw it last weekend and did not care for it, although the cinematography was outstanding!

Great cinematography but the lines and story were slow and boring IMO.

Saw the Iron Lady a week ago, brilliant movie.
Might go to see the Entertainer this week. Will be interesting to see if it's as good as the professional tell us. |
