Try the announcement forum for non advertisers. Make a thread and bump it with content announcements -- something of value not just one-hand-clapping spam::no one will care to respond positively to spam.

On the main board; try to stay on the thread's topic and have something to say of some value -- even if it is only sarcasm or satire. In other words, become a board personality and try to build some credibility.
If you can't take shit and pass it out, be thick skinned, stay away from the main board -- they will rip you a new asshole
