Lol, I ran into the same problem. I just learned about the imgur rss not working earlier today.
I found this today while searching for a solution. I havent tried it out in any site though ->
inline reddit
Basically it grabs images, gifs etc from any reddit subreddit.
You can download the files and maybe clean it up a bit to just get the images I guess (again, haven't tried it. Just found it today) ->
