I read a couple of years ago about Moms (eg the overbearing pageant kind) putting their prepubescent daughters on a premature waxing regime to kill off the follicles and effectively permanently block hair growth. Don't know if that was complete bullshit to get people fired up, or a real and quite disturbing practice. JFC.
