No. Normal person votes what is best for whole country, not what is best for single industry he is working in. Whole picture over narrow personal interest.

The fact that it needs explaining tells lots about you.
Gallup says about 17% of all voters are single issue voters and about 17% of voters decide who to vote for based on their view on abortion.

There are likely a lot more people out there who have one (or maybe a few) issues that determine who they vote for and have no interest in the big picture.
