Script meant to mimick a human will use dozens if not hundreds of proxies and various devices (tablet, phone, etc) (or actually does its work using a bot network), will visit the most popular search engines and search for a specific keyword or keyword phrase. Regardless of the true results that the search engine delivers, the script will then visit your website and crawl it as if was a human visitor.

Doing this repeatedly temporarily tricks the search engine into believing that your website is an authority when it comes to the specific keyword/phrase frequently being searched by the script.
