Happy you said you don't want an iShit. I use an Acer Iconia a500 and it's great. Just got updated to the latest Android (ICS) and I love it. One thing I recommend you use is an app named Android Tablet Apps. When you open the app it takes you to their site,
Android Tablet Apps where they list nothing but apps for Android tablets. I've found it a great resource so far. I tried other 'tablet app' type sites and apps but noticed ridiculous issues with them, for example, there's one in particular that fully loaded with ads, and no content. It sucked.
