I went to Catholic school, I spent a lot of time studying the bible, so all I needed was to be told that Jesus is the Sun, then I could easily apply the test with my biblical knowledge.

Jesus (the Sun) turns water into wine, that's the rain that falls on grapes to make them grow. Jesus/Sun feeds the 5000, by making food grow. Easter is when light has defeated dark (more light than day) the Sun/Jesus has been resurrected. Jesus/The Sun walking on water, that's the Sun setting over the sea or a lake. "I am the light of the world that every eye will see." The sun wears a corona, "crown of thorns" or halo, just as Jesus. etc etc etc It could go on all day with examples.

Jesus is a Sun God, unless this is all a coincidence of lottery winning probability
Or, parables that people are easily able to understand are used. Just about every lesson Jesus taught came in the form of parables. The prodigal son, good seed vs bad seed, etc etc. Also, when Paul came along to convert "Gentiles" he didn't even attempt to make them stop following their traditions... he simple told them he had new reasons for them to celebrate. Easter is a perfect example. It was pagan, Paul didn't want to take it away, so he told them the meaning should change. I have no problem with that.
