When I went back a few years ago, I called him and he shunned me. When I had gone before that we hung out on a few beaches, drank beer, played in the ocean, ate at his place. We did all kinds of cool stuff, then when we went back.. forget it. His girl said he didn't want anything to do with anyone from GFY.
My wife's cousin runs the Old Lahina Luau, when got him and his girl in and had awesome seats. Still... he didn't want anything to do with us.
